For over 34 years, the Romanian Furniture Manufacturers Association – APMR has been the voice of the Romanian furniture industry, representing the sector’s interests at both national and international level. APMR is an employers’ association representing companies in the furniture industry and supporting the growth and development of Romanian manufacturers.

APMR actively promotes furniture made in Romania and facilitates access to international markets through Romanian National Pavilions at the world’s leading furniture and design trade fairs, as well as by co-organizing Romania’s main industry event – BIFE-SIM Bucharest.

Founded in 1992, APMR currently brings together 367 member companies, including 229 furniture and design manufacturers. Together, they account for over 60% of Romania’s total furniture production and more than 65% of national furniture exports, confirming APMR’s role as a strategic partner of the industry.

More than a representative organization, APMR connects the entire furniture industry ecosystem – from manufacturers and suppliers to institutions and partners – while supporting innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable development across the sector.
